East Sussex Association of Blind and Partially Sighted People


We offer information and support to people who are blind or partially sighted and living in East Sussex, Hove and
Portslade. We also raise awareness of issues associated with sight loss amongst carers and local communities.

Our services include:

  • An initial visit to your home, offering information and advice.

  • Training -courses to develop your skills and confidence in the kitchen and the home.

  • Demonstrations and advice on specialist equipment and technology,,:all displayed in our fully equipped lndependent Livlng Centre.

  • Advice and training in computer technology.

  • Access to 14 social groups and other social activities.

  • An extensive audio and video library and access to British Wireless for the BIind equipment.

  • Advice and signposting to other services who can offer you support.

  • A home visiting service in Brighton and Hove

  • Access to counselling services; awareness raising.
